Super Eagles To Face Algeria With Unchanged Starting Lineup

Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr has named an unchanged lineup for today’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations semifinal clash against the Desert Foxes of Algeria.

Rohr maintains the same starting lineup that defeated the Bafana Bafana of South Africa 2-1 in the quarterfinal on Wednesday.

Daniel Akpeyi keeps his position in goal for his fifth appearance in the competition and will hope his goal is not breached after letting in three goals in the team’ last two games.

Jamilu Collins will start his second game of the competition where he is expected to have a busy evening against Manchester City’s Riyad Mahrez.

Chidozie Awaziem, Kenneth Omeruo and William Troost-Ekong complete the four-man defence.

The trio of Wilfred Ndidi, Oghenekaro Etebo and Alex Iwobi will marshall the midfield.

The competition’s top scorer Odion Ighalo will lead the attack and will be flanked by Samuel Chukwueze and Ahmed Musa.
