Xenophobia: YCee Calls Out AKA Over His Past Tweets About Nigeria

YCee, AKA

YCee called out AKA over his past comments during the AFCON match where Nigerian Super Eagles won South Africa’s Bafana Bafana.

After the match, AKA tweeted that it is a hard pill to swallow by loosing to Nigeria and he wished they lost to Egypt rather than Nigeria. He also said then,

“this match was bigger than football, why do we always lose to Naija at everything?”

Following the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians, YCee stated that there is a subtle dislike most South Africans have for Nigerians and he recounted AKA’s tantrums when South Africa lost to Nigeria.

‘There is this subtle dislike that a lot of them (If not all) feel towards Nigerians and no matter how hard they try to hide it .. it eventually jumps out – like when AKA had a full childish grown man tantrum when they lost to Nigeria in the nations cup,

Worst part of this thing is South Africans (or any other foreign nationals) will never feel unsafe in Nigeria.
We even treat foreigners better than we treat ourselves, which I believe needs to change. The rest of the world doesn’t respect us Cos we don’t respect ourselves,” he wrote.

In reply, AKA said it was just a football banter but YCee argued that there were underlying implications in his comments.See Exchange Below:
