It was a sad day for the residents of Michika, a town in Adamawa state as Boko Haram insurgents attack the town on Thursday evening.

This attack was confirmed by a soldier who told newsmen that he got a call around 6pm that the insurgents were already in the town.

Michika is under attack right now. Our men are on their way to repel,” the soldier said.

The attack was also confirmed by a resident of north-east who revealed that his sister was trapped as a result of the attack.

Attempts to get in touch with the spokesperson of the Nigerian Army, Sagir Musa were futile as at the time of reportage because his telephone was switched off.

Inspite of the efforts of the Federal government to defeat the sect and recent stand that the sect has been technically defeated, Boko Haram  has renewed attacks in the north-east.

WITHIN NIGERIA had earlier reported that a video depicting the killing of 11 Christians in Nigeria to avenge the death of Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi who was killed in October during a US raid in Syria has been released by the Islamic State Group in Nigeria.
