Nigeria Celebrity TV host and fashion stylist Denrele Edun during an Instagram live chat with Amal Kash on how hard he had to fight so he could freely express his creativity and pursue his dreams.
He recounts how he was excommunicated from his church because of his appearance, and how his friends mother threw him out on the street in the middle of the night with her referring to his hair as the reason why God had not been answering her prayers.
He added that his experience helped makes him who he is, making him stronger and now nothing can bring him down.
He said: “I was Excommunicated from the Church, they told me not to come to the church again because i represented Madness, I look like someone in a psychiatric hospital.
“I remember staying in a person’s house and the mother woke up one midnight and said to me; you need to leave this house, your hair is the reason why God is not answering our prayers.
Finally He said “God has blessed him and nothing can bring him down.
