“I won’t be using your useless airline again”, Naira Marley hits back at Executive Jet CEO

Popular Nigerian singer, Naira Marley, has hit back at Executive Jet CEO after he issued a statement calling the singer and his entourage a bunch of useless people.

WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that Executive Jet was suspended by the Minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika for violating the ban on interstate travel in COVID-19 era, after airlifting Naira Marley and his crew to Abuja for a drive-by concert that panned out differently.

“When I went through the manifest and I saw FASHOLA BABATUNDE I thought it was the Honorable Minister of Works going to Abuja with his men, so we decided to do the flight since it is a serving Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I didn’t know it was a bunch of useless people,” Executive Jet’s CEO, Sam Iwuajoku, wrote in an apology letter to the Aviation Minister.

In his reaction, Naira Marley says he and his army of Marlians will be boycotting the airline henceforth for daring to tag them “useless.”

According to Naira Marley, he didn’t impersonate the Minister of Works, Babatunde Fashola, as has been wrongly assumed.

The singer’s younger brother’s name is also Babatunde Fashola, and he was aboard the airline.

Meanwhile, they claim they thought it was the minister that was why they conveyed him.

“Lool they asked for our names on the jet though and looooooooool,” Naira Marley wrote in an Instagram post.

“Your pilot is a Marlian and everybody there is a Marlian too.. my name is Azeez Adeshina Fashola and my lil brother’s name is moshood Babatunde Fashola and u was begging me to tag y’all.

“Do u know that over 20,000 Marlians travel with executive jet a month. We won’t be using ur airline again for calling us useless.

“Thank God we didn’t crash on that flight sha because we nearly did.

“By the way, we didn’t book the flight ourselves,” he added.

The video he shared along with the post showed the moment he urged the people to go back to their cars. However, they all appeared hesitant.
