2026 WAEC recruitment: How To Apply, Requirements, Portals, Warnings

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced a recruitment drive, requesting talented Nigerians to fill nine positions.


According to the council, the exercise includes general tasks, accounting, information and communication technology, auditing, and secretarial work.

WITHIN NIGERIA gathered that WAEC is hiring for its new Computer-Based WASSCE (CB-WASSCE).

It also learned that the primary listed position is proctor, which is open for teachers with ICT skills to supervise the 2026 CBT tests and general openings such as Registered Builder II.

How to Apply for the 2026 WAEC Recruitment Exercise:

Interested job seekers should access the 2026/2027 recruitment exercise via the official portal ‘www.recruitment.waec.com.ng’ and register online.

Experienced teachers with good ICT abilities can apply for the position of Proctors for the 2026 CB-WASSCE.

Interested job applicants for proctor positions must be able to oversee candidates, run digital proctoring tools, ensure compliance with WAEC requirements, and handle technological concerns.

Interested job seekers with strong ethical standards and attention to detail might apply with NCE, ND, HND, or B.Sc.

Interested applicants should apply early at ‘https://ictdapps.waec.org.ng/proctors’ for successful results. Applicants will pay for extensive digital training in WAEC’s exam systems and security standards.

Interested job applicants who are interested in applying for the position of Registered Builder II must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Building Construction (2nd Class Lower min), 3+ years of post-NYSC experience, be a member of NIOB and registered with CORBON.

He or she must use PCs/MS Office, be a team player, and possess analytical and communication skills.
