The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced the results of 632,788 applicants who took part in the first day of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
This was said by JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin on Friday.
According to Benjamin, the results of candidates who took part in the 2026 UTME on Thursday, 16 April 2026, have been released and are now accessible for viewing.
He asked candidates who wish to check their results to text UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019, using the same phone number (SIM) they used to register.
He did, however, say that at this point, candidates can only read their results; printing is not yet accessible.
How To Check JAMB 2026 UTME result
As a candidate, you have two options for checking the JAMB 2026 UTME results.

Steps:
As a JAMB candidate, open your messaging app on your phone.
He or she should type ‘UTMERESULT’ in capital characters, without spaces, to ‘55019’ or ‘66019’.
However, the exact phone number given during JAMB registration should be used.
CAVEAT:
After deducting N50 in airtime, you will receive a message displaying your total scores in all four subjects within two to five minutes.
You may also receive SMS responses such as “Results Withheld – under review for exam irregularities” or “Results Pending – still being processed” or “Candidate Absent – you did not show up” or “Invalid Entrance” if you did not participate.
The second option is to register online through the JAMB eFacility Portal. It is recommended for those who can.
Steps:
JAMB candidates are advised to go to the official portal: https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/
They should log in with their registered emails + passwords
They should click “Check UTME Results” on their dashboards
They should enter their JAMB registration numbers
They can print or save as PDF when results are shown on the screen.
CAVEAT:
WITHIN NIGERIA learned that JAMB normally releases UTME results within 48 hours of the examination.
However, because the UTME examination will take place between April 16 and April 25, 2026, the results will be released in batches.
If you try to see your result and it is not shown, it means it is still being processed or the applicant has exam troubles.
