Late former President Muhammadu Buhari’s son, Yusuf Buhari, has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary poll to contest for next year’s national assembly election.
He clinched the ticket for the Sandamu/Daura/Mai’adua Federal Constituency after polling 5,849 votes to defeat Auwal Lawal Daura, who got 21 votes.
As a result of the development, Yusuf Buhari has emerged the APC candidate for the Sandamu/Daura/Mai’adua Federal Constituency seat for the 2027 general elections.
The the APC House of Representatives primary elections are taking place across the country on Saturday.
In related development, businessman and socialite, Pascal Okechukwu, aka Cubana Chief Priest, has reportedly lost his bid be the flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency of Imo State.
Okechukwu, who is the Imo State Coordinator of the City Boys Movement, was seeking to represent the constituency in the House of Representatives lost his bid to secure the party’s ticket during Saturday’s primary election.
