Just when many thought the drama surrounding Sandra Edoho’s failed marriage to media personality Frank Edoho had started calming down, another controversy exploded online, involving singer Chiké and media personality Toke Makinwa.
A leaked private phone conversation reportedly between Sandra and Chiké has now dragged old issues back into public discussion. What started as a conversation about handling cheating rumours quickly turned into a fresh online clash after Sandra brought up her old fallout with Toke Makinwa during the call.
The audio has since gone viral on social media, with fans dissecting every detail and Toke publicly firing back at Sandra over comments made about their past working relationship.
The Backstory Behind Sandra and Toke’s Fallout

The tension between Sandra Edoho also known as Sandra Onyenucheya and Toke Makinwa did not start because of the leaked audio. Their issues reportedly date back to 2019 when Toke hired Sandra’s interior design company, Vivabella Designs, to work on two of her homes.
According to Toke, the working relationship became difficult during the project. She later complained publicly about what she described as poor finishing and unprofessional conduct. Toke said the entire experience became “traumatic” for her despite the huge amount she paid for the service.
Sandra, on the other hand, reportedly felt overwhelmed by the constant complaints and pressure surrounding the project. According to details mentioned in the leaked audio, things became so tense that Sandra eventually blocked Toke on her phone and social media.
The situation reportedly became messy behind the scenes, with both women holding onto resentment long after the project ended.
Despite the controversy, Sandra later admitted that the public drama unexpectedly helped her business. According to her, the attention from the feud eventually attracted a wealthy client who gave her bigger interior design projects. That old issue remained buried for years until the leaked phone call suddenly brought it back into the spotlight.
The Leaked Audio That Reignited Everything
The viral audio recording is alleged to be a private conversation between Sandra Edoho and Chiké. The conversation reportedly happened amid rumours that Sandra and Chiké were romantically involved. The rumours became even louder after Sandra publicly accused Frank Edoho of infidelity, emotional abuse, financial betrayal, and domestic violence during the breakdown of their marriage.
In the leaked call, Chiké sounded worried about how the rumours could damage his image and career. He reportedly expressed fear that being labelled a “homewrecker” could affect his relationship with wealthy clients and married couples who book him for performances.
Sandra spent most of the conversation trying to calm him down. She repeatedly told him that social media outrage does not last forever and that people usually move on after a few weeks. To convince Chiké that scandals do not always destroy careers, Sandra used her old drama with Toke Makinwa as an example. Sandra said:
“I will give you an example. One time in my career when I worked with Toke Makinwa. I did Toke’s two homes.” When Chiké asked, “For her?”, Sandra replied:
“Not for her! She can’t afford me! Me work for Toke Makinwa, how?!”
Sandra then explained how the public criticism from Toke initially felt like it would ruin her business. She added:
“Do you know that at that point, it felt like she spoilt my business because I had an image or a brand of people thinking everything was perfect and she came on social media to scatter it.”
Sandra however claimed the controversy eventually worked in her favour. According to her:
“My highest paying client came out from that rubbish.”
She continued by explaining how a client allegedly hired her after seeing the online drama. Sandra said:
“He said if this is the rubbish you did for Toke, do it for me.”
She also admitted during the call that she blocked Toke during the heated disagreement.
“I was in Miami and she was blowing up my phone and I blocked her and she felt slighted.”
Sandra then tried reassuring Chiké that even if the cheating rumours became bigger, his career would survive. She added:
“Your career will not go down. You may have backlash because all your enemies will come out… but everything will still work in your favour.”
Toke Makinwa’s Reaction
After hearing the leaked audio and seeing her name dragged into the conversation, Toke Makinwa responded publicly online and she did not hold back.
Toke appeared deeply offended by Sandra’s comments, especially the remark suggesting she could not afford her services. She also seemed upset that Sandra used their old business dispute as an example while trying to comfort Chiké over an alleged cheating scandal.
In her response, Toke accused Sandra of being rude, difficult to work with, and unwilling to take responsibility for problems during the interior design project. Toke wrote:
“Your rudeness I can overlook but lying is one thing I would not tolerate.”
She also defended her earlier complaints about Sandra’s work, insisting that the finishing on some parts of the project was poor. According to Toke:
“You have zero customer service, your attitude to issues is not to resolve but to shift blame.”
She accused Sandra of blocking her while she was still trying to resolve issues with the project. Toke added:
“You blocked your client so there was no way you could be contacted.”
The media personality also rejected any suggestion that Sandra was the victim in the situation. She said:
“I paid for a service and I have a right to complain.”
Toke’s response quickly spread online, with netizens taking sides and reigniting debates about the original 2019 drama. See screenshot below:
Conclusion
What was supposed to be a private conversation between Sandra Edoho and Chiké has now reopened old wounds and created an entirely new round of public drama. The leaked audio not only intensified rumours surrounding Sandra and Chiké, but also revived Sandra’s long-running tension with Toke Makinwa years after their business fallout supposedly ended.
It also highlights how quickly old controversies can return online, especially when private conversations become public. In Nigeria’s entertainment industry, past drama rarely stays buried for long. Sometimes, all it takes is one leaked recording for everything to explode again.
