OAP Dotun, Comedian FunnyBone Debate On Why Marriages Crash

Dotun and Funnybone

Veteran On Air Personality (OAP) Dotun and talented comedian FunnyBone have shared their thoughts on why they think more marriages are collapsing these days than it used to be in the past.

The debate started when Dotun shared, on his Instagram page, shared a list of some questions to ask before going into marriage just to avoid entering the union blindly.

Dotun wrote that “the questions are not sacred”, however it is important to ask;

FunnyBone commented on the post, elaborating more about Dotun’s list. He noted that because those questions are necessary, sacrifice and tolerant are other key factors that are more important to make a marriage last.

He also opined that transactional approach to marriage is detrimental to the union, adding that partners have to find ways of making their homes work.

FunnyBone wrote, “If you find the right answers to this questionnaire today but fail to sacrifice and be tolerant. E go still spoil later.

“This transactional move is not the ultimate. The onus is on both partners to fashion out ways to work it through.

“Remember people change and this answers you seek are temporary. Tomorrow he or she might want another thing.

“Las las it’s about 2 imperfect people willing and trying to be perfect”.

Dotun disagreed with FunnyBone’s comments. He stated that marriage is transactional and backed his claim up by shedding more light on it. He argued that going to the court of law to seal or dissolve a marriage is unnecessary.

Dotun said, “my Gee in the real sense Marriage is actually transactional. It is feels so sacred in this part of the world to use such narrative but it is. We all bind this thing by God, but why do you still go to a law court to seal or dissolve? Why do you need to feel secured against all odds?

“This issue with marriage is when the parties do not meet up to each other’s obligations or renew its vows accordingly. If we can have this conversation after everything goes south, why can’t you before you even start.

“I honestly think marriage should be sacred but not a do or die if you have tried every option and it didn’t work. Staying together works but the reason for most crashes these things that are unattended to”.
