Nollywood thespians, Richard Mofe Damijo and Sola Sobowale, revealed how they met while flirting during an interview session put together by Netflix to promote ‘King of Boys: The Return of the King’.
Richard Mofe Damijo, also known as RMD, said he is surprised that they have never kissed, having known each other for 37 years and played different roles, including husband and wife.
Sola Sobowale and RMD divulged they met at Tade Ogidan’s place in 1984 at Surulere, Lagos state.
RMD flirted, saying, “We met about 37 years ago, in 1984, Surulere, at Tade Ogidan’s place. We have played husband and wife several times and it hit me the other day that I have never kissed you in a movie.”
“Hopefully, we will get to kiss as Reverend Ifeanyi and the king; I want to be able to kiss the king.”
Both legends explained that they’ve always had the dream of entertaining people since their childhood. Sola Sobowale stated that her environment influenced her while RMD established he has been acting since childhood.
RMD continues to lead actress Sola Sobowale on when he said he hoped he would eventually kiss her before he clocks 70 years.
“In 10 years, I will be 70 and my prayers will be that we will still be doing this. There will still be some springs in our steps and I will finally get to kiss you,” RMD said.
