Veteran singer and activist, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has opened up on the motivations behind his marriage, admitting that he tied the knot with his wife for all the wrong reasons.

In an interview with reality TV personality Uriel on “Inside Scoop with Pulse,” Charly Boy disclosed that when he married his wife over four decades ago in his early 30s, he was seeking superficial qualities in a partner.

At that time, he was primarily focused on finding a woman with a pleasing figure, beauty, and musical talent, as he was venturing deeper into his hobby of singing.

However, Charly Boy acknowledged that these reasons were misguided and not the foundation for a lasting relationship.

He admitted that he was so fixated on these attributes back then, believing they were crucial for his happiness and compatibility.

Now, after 46 years of marriage, Charly Boy’s views have undergone significant transformation and growth.

He expressed that his priorities have shifted over the years, emphasizing that he no longer places importance on a woman’s physical beauty, backside, or breast size.
