Imo jailbreak: Nigeria Correctional Center releases more names and photos of escaped inmates

The Nigerian Correctional Service has released more names and photos of some of the inmates who escaped during the jailbreak in Imo state on Monday, April 5.

WITHIN NIGERIA reports that some unidentified gunmen stormed the Owerri Custodial Center in the early hours of Monday, April 5, and freed over 1800 inmates. 84 of the inmates have so far returned to the facility.

The Nigerian Correctional Center has now released some names and photos of fleeing inmates.

In another report, the Benue State Police Command has arrested one Benjamin Terungwa Agura, who allegedly robbed and strangled a businesswoman to death after alleged rape attempt.

WITHIN NIGERIA gathered that the suspect had on April 7, 2021, allegedly murdered Ruth Mbachilin, a yam trader, and dumped her body in a well near Uchi Mbakor in Tarka Local Government Area of Benue State.
