Indian police arrest 3 Nigerians for staying without valid documents

Three Nigerian nationals have been arrested in Delhi, India for illegally staying in the country without valid documents.

A statement posted by the Dwarka Police on Wednesday, June 2, said that the Nigerians were found to be living without having valid visa and passports.

The trio were apprehended by police officers from PS Mohan Garden in Dwarka district for their deportation to Nigeria.

The police authority didn’t give the names of the Nigerians in its post. It was just their pictures that was uploaded in the post.

Nigerians in India are said to form one of the largest African communities in the country.

According to Wikipedia, as of November 2013, there are about 10,000 Nigerians living and working in India.
