Paul Enenche, a popular Nigerian cleric and senior pastor Dunamis International Gospel Centre, has told Nigerian comedians to desist from lying when trying to crack a joke.
According to Pastor Enenche, comedians do not need to lie to tell jokes, as God does not understand such jokes.
Speaking while preaching in his church recently, the founder of the church with the world’s second-largest auditorium Dunamis International Gospel Centre, said:
”There are those whose business is to crack jokes to make people laugh and I tell them…You don’t need to lie to make people laugh. There are many genuine stories that are humorous enough to tell without fabricating a thing.
One day I just dey go, I come see somebody for….lie..lie..lie..lie!!!!”
According to him, God is absolutely truthful and does not understand such jokes.
