Some alleged members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) were killed by soldiers around the palace of Eze Aro in Arochukwu Local Government Area of Abia State on Wednesday October 20.
According to Daily Trust, the five members of the outlawed group fell to the superior firepower, while trying to enforce a “sit-at-home” order declared by the outlawed group in the Abia community.
The five members of the pro-Biafra group were said to have been killed during gunfire exchange with the soldiers, which led to pandemonium in the Abia community.
WITHIN NIGERIA had earlier reported that IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu was arraigned before a Federal High Court in Abuja on a seven-count charge, on Thursday.
He had pleaded not guilty to the charges bordering on treasonable felony and terrorism.
Kanu’s legal team had challenged his detention and sought bail but the court adjourned the matter till November 10.
