COVID-19: Nigeria records 75 fresh infections in 8 states, FCT

Nigeria has recorded 75 new cases of COVID-19 in eight states and the federal capital territory (FCT).

The COVID-19 result was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update for Wednesday, January 26, 2022.

According to the agency, the following is a list of the new cases: Lagos-33, Gombe-13, FCT-11, Osun-8, Edo-3, Rivers-3, Plateau-2, Kaduna-1 and Kano-1.

The agency said 646 people recovered from the infections, while one person died of COVID complications.

Nigeria now has 252,753 confirmed infections, 228,137 recoveries and 3,134 fatalities.

WITHIN NIGERIA had reported that as the battle against COVID-19 continues, Nigeria has recorded 250 fresh infections of the deadly disease in 12 states and the federal capital territory (FCT).
