Mauricio Pochettino has quit his job as the coach of Paris Saint-Germain.
The French champions confirmed Pochettino’s departure from the club in a statement on Tuesday.
The development comes ahead of the expected announcement of Christophe Galtier as the Argentine’s successor.
“Paris Saint-Germain confirm that Mauricio Pochettino has ended his role at the club,” said a club statement as the former Tottenham Hotspur coach leaves the Parc des Princes after 18 months in charge.
For weeks on end, there’s been uncertainty about the future of Pochettino. This is not unconnected to PSG’s awful display in last season champions league.
