War: Ukraine suffers major blow as Russia’s latest missile strikes kill 11

Not less than 11 people have reportedly lost their lives following an overnight Russian missile attacks in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region, not far from the Zaporizhzhya nuclear plant, according to the local military.

Valentyn Reznichenko, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk military administration, who confirmed the incident, wrote on Telegram Wednesday, “A tragic night in the Nikopol area the Russian army killed 11 people and injured 13’’.

Both of the affected areas are on the opposite bank of the Dnipro River to the Zaporizhzhya nuclear plant, which has been shelled several times in recent days.

Both Russia and Ukraine have been fighting for over five months.

As of today, several casualties have already been recorded.

Russian President Vladimir Putin had ordered the invasion of Ukraine because of political differences between both countries.
