Soldier dismissed for theft, fraudulent activities

Ibrahim Abdullahi, soldier attached to the Nigerian Army School of Supply and Transport (NASST), Ugbowo, Benin City, Edo State, has been dismissed from service for engaging in theft and fraudulent activities.

The soldier was dismissed on September 08, 2022 for theft and numerous fraudulent offenses.

“Dismissed today from the Nigerian Army today 08/09/22 for theft and numerous fraudulent offences. The Order was carried out in NASST Benin city, please avoid any transaction with the dismissed regiment,” a military document read.

Abdullah’s dismissal is coming a few days after the Nigerian Army dismissed two soldiers, John Gabriel and Adamu Gideon, for allegedly involved in the killing of Goni Aisami, an Islamic cleric in Yobe.

Gabriel admitted to killing the cleric and seizing his car, after which he called on Gideon for help when the victim’s car failed to start.

The police had earlier paraded the two soldiers and three other persons over the alleged murder.
