The last may not have been heard of the squabbles between the Executive chairman of Obingwa local government area of Abia state, Hon. Michael Ibe Nwoke and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the state.
Hon. Nwoke on Tuesday accused the former deputy governor of the state, Hon. Eric Acho Nwakamma of plotting to impeach him. In a press release on his verified Facebook account, the local government boss on Tuesday stated that “it is unfortunate that a man of his class will stoop so low to want to cause mayhem in Obingwa just the way he has succeeded in destroying PDP in Obingwa and the state at large.
” Hon. Ibe who is currently running for the Federal House of Representatives under the platform of Young Progressive Party (YPP) for Obingwa/Ugwunagbo/Osisioma federal constituency, was on Friday suspended from PDP for anti-party activities. This will be connected to the recent decamping of the local government boss.
