Nigeria records 571 new cases of COVID-19, total now 32,558

As the nation continues its fight against Coronavirus, Nigeria on Sunday night recorded 571 new cases of COVID-19 and the total number of cases so far is now 32,558.

This was disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) via its official Twitter handle.

According to the NCDC, 740 people have died from the virus, with 13,447 patients discharged.

Kwara – 19

In a related story, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that the Lagos state government said it has sealed a private medical laboratory for conducting COVID-19 tests without approval.

The state Ministry of Health, via its official Twitter handle @LSMOH, on Saturday identified the laboratory as Acouns Medical Laboratory and Diagnostic Centre, located in Ikoyi.

According to the ministry, the laboratory’s activities pose danger to the community and its emplyees.
