November 2026 has brought a fresh wave of celebrity disagreements, with familiar names in the Nigerian entertainment industry finding themselves at the centre of public exchanges, accusations and unexpected responses. From a friendship that reportedly broke down after the Justice for Mohbad campaign to a singer revisiting his experience with one of the country’s biggest record labels, the latest developments have drawn several entertainers into conversations that extend beyond their original disagreements.
Another dispute involving a popular actress has also attracted attention, following a public appeal from her estranged husband and a heated exchange with a journalist. As the different accounts continue to emerge, the personalities involved have offered contrasting explanations, leaving several issues at the centre of the November entertainment headlines.
VeryDarkMan vs Davido: How the Friendship Broke Down
The disagreement between social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), and Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, took a new direction on November 5, 2026, when the activist released a video explaining how their relationship allegedly deteriorated. His account brought the Justice for Mohbad campaign, his 2024 arrest and people associated with Davido’s 30BG circle into the discussion, with the activist claiming that his discovery of a WhatsApp group conversation changed his perception of people he had previously considered friends.
VDM recalled that his relationship with Davido began in 2024 after the singer followed him on social media, an experience he described as exciting because of the musician’s international profile. He said they became friendly afterwards and that he regularly promoted Davido’s music whenever new releases came out. According to the activist, their conversations were generally cordial, although he claimed the singer was usually the person asking him for favours rather than the other way around. Explaining how the relationship developed, VDM said, “Then Davido followed me around 2024; I was excited when Davido followed me because Davido is a star. An International star.”
He continued, “If he drops music, I would show love by promoting. We have a couple of relationships in the DM but to be very honest, it is always him asking for the favour.” He added, “I have never asked him anything or for him to do something for me before. Like that, we became pals.” The activist said the relationship appeared normal until he allegedly came across conversations involving people connected to the singer’s circle, which made him question the friendliness he had experienced from some of them.
The Alleged WhatsApp Group Behind the Disagreement

VDM said his discovery came in 2025, following his arrest in 2024 and subsequent release from detention. He recalled spending close to a month in custody before being transferred to Kuje Prison, an experience that came during the period when his online activities and involvement in the campaign for justice for late singer Mohbad attracted considerable attention. According to him, he later obtained a WhatsApp group conversation involving actress Iyabo Ojo, Tonto Dikeh, music producer Samklef, K Solo, Drey DMW and Aloma DMW. He alleged that discussions in the group were connected to plans surrounding his arrest.
VDM said, “Come 2025, I laid my hands on a WhatsApp group chat that had Iyabo Ojo, Tonto Dikeh, Samklef, K Solo, Drey DMW, Aloma DMW… I then found out that it was from this group chat that they planned my arrest.” He further claimed that the discussions were motivated by his questions about the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death, adding, “Why did they plan my arrest? Because I was asking questions about Mohbad that they didn’t like.”
The activist also questioned whether the people involved were genuinely interested in securing justice for the late singer or were more concerned about bringing Naira Marley down. He said, “Trust me, the thing about the chats was not for justice for Mohbad, as against the reason why they seem to have created the group; it was just ‘Naira Marley must go down’.” These remain VDM’s allegations, and the existence of discussions about his arrest does not independently establish that the named individuals organised or caused his detention.
Why Davido Became Part of the Fallout
The involvement of people associated with Davido was particularly upsetting to VDM because he believed he had maintained friendly relationships with members of the singer’s circle. He questioned how individuals who interacted and laughed with him could allegedly participate in conversations connected to his arrest. Recalling his reaction, he said, “So when I found this out, I was surprised that me and Davido, we dey cool. I dey see hin crew guys we dey laugh, how come these guys na them still plan my arrest?”
VDM said he subsequently released some portions of the alleged conversation and attempted to contact Davido to discuss the situation. He claimed the singer did not answer his calls, despite his telephone ringing, and that a blog later published a report suggesting he wanted to record Davido’s voice during a telephone conversation for possible blackmail. The activist described the development as a betrayal, saying, “So I released some parts of the chat, and I called Davido. His phone rang; he didn’t pick.” He added, “That was cold; that was betrayal.”
He also attributed another statement to himself while describing how he intended to respond if he encountered the singer. “As e dey be like this, if I see you here, I pass another place,” he said. VDM further alleged that people who were involved in the discussions had also included his name in a campaign to free him from detention, despite their alleged role in planning his arrest. Davido had not personally issued a detailed public response to the latest accusations in the accounts available by November 6.
VDM’s Earlier Attack on Davido, Zlatan Joins the Dispute
The November 5 explanation followed earlier social media exchanges involving Davido and rapper Zlatan Ibile. On November 4, VDM reacted to a video of Davido enjoying Zlatan’s song *Inferno* during a wedding celebration in Morocco. Some listeners interpreted the lyrics as a reference to the activist, prompting him to respond with a video in which he mocked the singer’s relationship with women and defended his previous comments about masturbation.
VDM said, “I no be David Adeleke wey dey beg woman. I will rather masturbate than make I kneel down dey beg woman.” He also addressed the criticism surrounding his comments on masturbation, saying, “I told you people I masturbate, I create awareness on masturbation, it’s not a new thing. What did you discover? Everything you know about me, I told you.” Turning to Zlatan, he issued a warning, saying, “Zlatan, I dey come now. You will learn the hard way.”
Zlatan became part of the disagreement because of the song and the interpretation of its lyrics, although VDM’s criticism also went back to their earlier association during the Justice for Mohbad campaign. The activist questioned the rapper’s involvement at the time and accused him of using the attention surrounding Mohbad’s death to promote their collaboration, *Account Balance*. These were VDM’s criticisms of Zlatan, rather than established evidence of the rapper’s intentions.
Dre DMW Challenges VDM’s Account
Another important development came from Dre DMW, whose name appeared in VDM’s account of the alleged WhatsApp group. On November 6, Dre publicly challenged the activist’s version of events, accusing him of making false claims about the circumstances surrounding his arrest and his relationship with people connected to Davido. His response was direct, with the DMW associate questioning why VDM was blaming people in the singer’s circle instead of seeking an explanation from the authorities responsible for his detention.
Dre reportedly wrote, “Vincent, you too dey lie. No single truth for wetin you yarn. You need make them feed you truth.” He also challenged the activist over his arrest, saying, “Suddenly, Vincent no know why dem arrest am. Sebi na NCC department you dey arrest people and na them arrest you. So why you no ask them why dem go prison?” He continued his criticism with another statement, “You’re useless guy, Vincent. E be like say you dey create lies. You and all the people wey dey feed you lies.”
Dre further told VDM to concentrate on the activities that helped him build his social media following, writing, “Focus on selling market wey you gain followers for. Stupid boy.” His intervention was significant because VDM had specifically mentioned him among the alleged WhatsApp group participants. However, Dre’s public denial and criticism do not independently settle the claims about the group’s conversations or establish the circumstances surrounding VDM’s arrest.
Israel DMW Defends Davido
Davido’s personal logistics manager, Israel Afeare, popularly known as Israel DMW, also responded to the allegations, but his statement focused on defending the singer rather than attacking VDM. On November 5, Israel insisted that Davido had no involvement in Naira Marley’s difficulties following Mohbad’s death or any alleged plan to have the activist arrested. He also argued that the people who participated in the WhatsApp group did so without the singer’s instructions or approval.
Israel wrote, “Dearest Nigerians. Oga had no hands in Naira Marley’s ordeals during his trying times in Mohbad’s case or in any plot to see VDM being arrested.” He continued, “Those who were in that WhatsApp group, got there without his instructions or approval.” His statement directly challenged any suggestion that Davido authorised the alleged activities of people associated with his circle.
He also denied claims that Davido sought to acquire Mohbad’s music catalogue or attempted to sign Zinoleesky away from Marlian Records. Israel said, “Oga called for Mohbad’s catalogue or even made attempt to sign Zino? How na? Those who told VDM that fully lied.” Addressing the singer’s relationship with Naira Marley, he claimed Davido had faced pressure to unfollow the rapper on Instagram but refused because he wanted the police to investigate the matter rather than act on rumours.
Israel added, “Serious pressure even came for Oga then to unfollow Naira on Instagram, and he said it categorically, no, that he wants the police to do their job, that he doesn’t want to believe in any hearsay.” He further stated, “Naira and Oga are cool. They even made a hit song.” Regarding an alleged disagreement at Naira Marley’s residence involving Tolu 30BG and one of Naira’s associates, Israel said, “On the issue that happened in Naira’s house, it was our then Tolu 30BG who had issues with one of Naira’s boys. Nobody was beaten or attacked.”
Crayon vs Rema, Don Jazzy, Mavin Records
While the disagreement involving VDM and Davido was generating responses from members of the 30BG circle, singer Charles Chibueze Chukwu, popularly known as Crayon, opened another chapter in the November entertainment discussions with a series of posts against Mavin Records and people associated with the label. On November 5, he revisited his experience in the music industry, accused Mavin of changing his personality and announced that his friendship with fellow singer Rema had ended. His comments also mentioned Don Jazzy, Mavin executive Tega Oghenejobo and Rema’s fanbase, the Ravers.
Crayon’s most striking statement concerned the person he believed he had become after joining Mavin. He wrote, “What really happened to the old Crayon! Mavin killed him!!! They killed the loving and playful Crayon!” The singer described his younger self as an innocent boy from Ojo, Lagos, who joined the industry with ambitions of becoming one of the country’s biggest artistes. He also made a controversial remark about compromising his values before becoming famous, writing, “Na idiot wey make I sell my before I blow!”
The singer’s posts presented his experience at the label as a source of personal disappointment, although his claims about Mavin’s conduct remain allegations that require a response from the people concerned. His outburst was not limited to the record label, as he also directed attention towards Rema, with whom he previously shared a close relationship during their time under the Mavin music structure.
Crayon Announces the End of His Friendship With Rema
One of the most prominent parts of Crayon’s November 5 posts was his declaration that he and Rema were no longer friends. He expressed frustration about the relationship and claimed he had been hurt repeatedly, suggesting that the disagreement had continued for some time before he decided to speak publicly. He wrote, “Me and Rema are no longer friends! Una don too hurt me! Una dey hurt me to the last minute! I don leave am for God!!!!! I no go talk again!”
Crayon also claimed that Rema had ignored messages he sent for approximately 6 months. He referred to their earlier relationship and recalled a period when they shared food and spent time together. In one of his posts, he wrote, “If I show Una messages wey I send that Smallie divine! 6months no response!” He also said, “Rema wey I Dey feed those days…” while describing how different their relationship had become.
The singer’s comments brought their former friendship into the centre of the disagreement, with his account suggesting that the distance between them was a major source of his frustration. He also addressed Rema’s fans, known as the Ravers, and called on the singer to caution supporters who were attacking him over the dispute. Rema’s own detailed response to the allegations was not included in the reports available by November 6.
Don Jazzy, Tega Oghenejobo, Ayra Starr and Other Names
Crayon’s grievances also extended to Mavin’s management structure, with Tega Oghenejobo becoming one of the individuals mentioned in his posts. The singer suggested that he had unresolved issues with the executive and Rema, although the full details of his allegations against them were not established in the published accounts. He also brought Ayra Starr into the conversation while discussing his experience with music and video production, making comments about the resources allegedly spent on a project and comparing the outcome with their collaboration *Ngozi*.
Another issue raised in reports about the outburst was Crayon’s claim that he rejected a publishing offer worth $300,000 because he considered the proposed arrangement unsuitable. He also made claims about the money Mavin had allegedly earned and what he believed he was owed. One reported allegation attributed to him was that the label had earned $200 million without paying him. No audited financial records or detailed payment documents accompanied the claims, so the figures remain statements attributed to the singer rather than independently verified financial findings.
The November outburst also revived attention on his earlier disagreement with Mavin. During a March 2026 social media rant, Crayon had mentioned Don Jazzy and Tega Oghenejobo, made insulting remarks about the executive and declared, “Mavin is going down!!!!!!” He also wrote, “Rema for the next 100 years no feature.” His latest comments therefore followed months of public grievances rather than emerging without any previous disagreement.
Crayon had previously appeared to soften his position towards Don Jazzy, describing the music executive as family and suggesting that they were at peace. His latest outburst has consequently raised fresh questions about the relationship between the singer and the label. His song *Baami* reportedly appeared under Olodum Entertainment without Mavin’s branding, but that development alone does not establish that he has formally left the label or settled any contractual obligations. As of November 6, a detailed response from Don Jazzy, Rema, Tega or Mavin Records addressing the latest claims had not featured in the reports reviewed.
Regina Daniels vs Ned Nwoko, Kemi Olunloyo
Another celebrity dispute attracting attention in November involves actress Regina Daniels, her estranged husband Senator Ned Nwoko and journalist Kemi Olunloyo. The latest developments followed Ned’s public appeal on November 2, 2026, asking Nigerians, bloggers and social media commentators to give Regina breathing space amid concerns about her health and the circulation of reports about her personal circumstances. His statement came against the background of the couple’s widely publicised marital difficulties and Regina’s own disclosures about the challenges she had been experiencing.
Ned appealed to the public, saying, “I want to make a sincere appeal to the public, particularly Regina’s fans, friends, bloggers and social media commentators, to please give Regina some breathing space.” He also said, “Regina has been through a lot, more than many people may realise, and right now, what she needs most is love, support and the opportunity to recover.” Addressing their difficult relationship, he added, “Regardless of the difficulties we have faced, her well-being has always mattered to me.”
The senator also expressed concern about false reports concerning Regina’s health and alleged death announcements. He warned that publications deliberately spreading fabricated information could face legal action, stating, “We are documenting these publications, and we will hold anyone found responsible accountable through the appropriate legal channels.” His appeal did not announce a reconciliation or establish that the couple had resolved their marital differences.
Regina’s Health Video Sparks More Attention
The public discussion also followed a video Regina shared around her 25th birthday, in which she appeared in a wheelchair and spoke about the pain and mobility difficulties she had experienced. The footage attracted attention because it came amid her reduced social media activity and continuing questions about her marriage. Ned subsequently referred to the video in his public statement, but neither the footage nor his comments established a specific medical diagnosis.
Kemi Olunloyo’s Exchange With Regina
The situation took another turn on November 5 when Regina Daniels and Kemi Olunloyo exchanged words on social media. Olunloyo had addressed Regina’s supporters, asking them to stop directing negative comments towards her and insisting that the actress needed emotional support and positive energy. She wrote, “Dear Regina’s IG fans, please take your toxicity and negative energy far away from me. All Gina needs now is positive energy, emotional support, and love. Try to keep my name out of your mouths.”
Regina responded with a sharp message, questioning why Olunloyo was asking her supporters to stay away. She began, “Sorry, I have to laugh this laugh pls publicly. Aunty werey, just because I am now a retired wahala person, I kept you quiet to be buzzing.” She continued, “Don’t you know someone staying in one place recovering from what would have killed the likes of you will be itching to faint somebody?”
The actress also questioned Olunloyo’s reason for addressing her supporters, writing, “How can you tell my gang to stay away from you? I shock, I swear!” She then suggested that the journalist’s comments might have been connected to financial interests, adding, “Or was it because of your daily 2k? If that’s it, no wahala, ride on, jare! I Gerrit.” Regina also referred to Olunloyo’s grey hair, writing, “Plus, because of your grey hair, you merit my response.”
Olunloyo subsequently responded to the actress, questioning the insults and raising doubts about whether Regina was personally managing the social media account. The exchange added another public disagreement to the ongoing discussion about Regina’s health and marriage, although it did not resolve the issues between her and Ned.
The November Celebrity Disputes Still Awaiting Answers
By November 6, the three stories had developed into separate public disagreements involving several prominent names. VDM’s accusations against people connected to Davido were met with a direct challenge from Dre DMW and a defence of the singer by Israel DMW, while Davido himself had not issued a detailed response to the latest claims in the reports reviewed. The alleged WhatsApp conversations, the circumstances surrounding VDM’s 2024 arrest and the precise roles of the people named remain central unresolved issues.
Crayon’s statements have placed his relationship with Mavin Records and Rema under fresh scrutiny, particularly his claims about his former personality, ignored messages, publishing offer and alleged financial grievances. The label’s contractual relationship with the singer and the response of the individuals he mentioned also remain important developments. Regina Daniels’ situation, meanwhile, continues to involve public concerns about her health, Ned Nwoko’s appeal and her exchange with Kemi Olunloyo.
The November entertainment stories have therefore moved beyond isolated social media arguments, with each disagreement raising questions about friendships, professional relationships and the private experiences of public figures. Further statements from the people involved may provide additional details, but the accounts available by November 6 remain a mixture of personal claims, denials and public exchanges.
