A 28-year-old man, John Oshiyemere, appeared in Surulere Chief Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday for reportedly urinating all over a private kiosk in Surulere, Lagos.

Oshiyemere, of No.4, Shoyinka St., Itire Surulere, Lagos State, is facing charges of breach of peace and assault.

The prosecutor, Insp. Courage Ekhueorohan, told the court that Oshiyemere committed the crimes on December 8, around 5:40 p.m., at No. 3, Aishat St. Itire Surulere.

According to Ekhueorohan, Oshiyemere publicly urinated all over the kiosk of one Prudent Pkapko, and when she tried to stop him, he violently pushed her away.

According to the prosecutor, the alleged offenses violated Sections 168 (d) and 170 of the Lagos State Criminal Law, 2015.

Oshiyemere, on the other hand, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Mrs Sadiq Bello, the Magistrate, granted Oshiyemere bail in the sum of N20,000 with one responsible surety in the same sum.

According to her, the surety must be gainfully employed and provide proof of tax payment to the Lagos State Government (LASG).

The court postponed further proceedings in the case until January 13, 2022.
