Junior Pope was confirmed dead on the night of April 10 after several attempts to resuscitate him failed. The actor alongside make-up artist Abigail Frederick, and the production crew, drowned in Anam River on their way back from the set of Another Side of Life, a movie produced by Adanma Luke.

Destiny Etiko came under intense scrutiny on social media due to her perceived insensitivity in her mourning process following the passing of her colleague, Junior Pope.

Meanwhile, Zubby faced significant backlash on various social platforms after failing to pay tribute to Junior Pope, despite holding the esteemed position of being his best man at his wedding.
