A 24-year-old female trainee pilot identified simply as Mercy, was rescued by four fishermen after the aircraft she was flying crash-landed.

The plane reportedly crashed on Wednesday December 15 into Lake Gogonyo, Gogonyo Sub County in Pallisa District in eastern Uganda.

The trainee  from East African Aviation School, formerly Soroti Flying School, is currently admitted at Pallisa Hospital where she’s undergoing treatment.
