Football star dies during warm-ups

Football star, Mukhaled Al-Raqadi has died after a heart attack he suffered while warming up ahead of a match in Oman.

He passed away on December 23 after reportedly suffering a heart attack during a warm-up as his club, Muscat FC were getting ready for the League clash against Suwaiq.

The death of the Muscat FC star has since thrown the sporting community in Oman into mourning.

The player was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he passed away shortly after arriving for treatment.

“With hearts full of faith and accepting God’s decisions, Muscat Sports Club and all related to it extend their sincerest condolences to the Al-Raqadi family,” a club statement said.

A Croatian player, Mario Cacic had also died after a heart issue during training on December 21.

Argentina legend, Sergio Aguero and Piotr Zielinski are the most recent players who survived heart issues with the former retiring from football.
