Lawmaker Stages Walk For Tinubu In Ondo

Residents of the Ondo kingdom in the Ondo East and Ondo West local government areas organized a walk in support of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate.

The walk was also intended to raise awareness among the populace and ensure that the party’s candidates won handily in the general elections of next year.

The parade began in Bolorunduro town in the Ondo East local government and proceeded to the well-known Akure Garage (Akure motor park) before reaching its zenith at the kà roundabout in Ondo City.

The walk, according to the organizers, was intended to demonstrate the APC’s support, acceptability, electoral principles, and political clout in the two local government regions.

They said they want to put the party on the winning lane for Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima and other candidates of the party in the state.

The candidates are Adeniyi Adegbonmire who is seeking to represent Ondo Central senatorial district, Hon. Abiola Peter Makinde, who is seeking reelection to the House of Representatives candidate and House of Assembly candidates, Hon. Olamide Oladiji Landmark, Otunba Moyinolorun Ogunwumiju (OMO) and Hon. Biola Oladapo.

Hon Makinde who led the walk was accompanied by Adegbonmire, Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, Deaconess Lola Fagbemi, Commissioner of Culture and Tourism, Hon. Wálé Akinlosotu, Special Adviser to Ondo State Governor on Strategy, Political and Legislative Matters, Dr. Ajibayo Adeyeye, Ondo West Local Government Chairman, Hon. Akinsulire Ebenezer Ayodeji and his counterpart from Ondo East Local Government, Hon. Wálé Akinkuotu amongst others.

Makinde urged the people to vote for all APC candidates to enable them to consolidate their impactful achievements in the last three and half years in office.

He assured Ondo Kingdom of corporate benefits if Tinubu is elected to become Nigeria’s next president.

Otunba Ogunwumiju and Hon. Biola Oladapo pledged commitment to work with the government at the state level in order to attract developments to their respective Constituencies.

Hon. Akinsulire urged the people not to fall for other people who are poised to take the progress of Ondo backward.

He said Hon Makinde deserved re-election having performed through his outreach programme.
