BREAKING: Court finds Hotelier, Adedoyin guilty of OAU student, Adegoke murder

The owner of Hilton Hotel Ile-Ile, Osun State, Dr Rahman Adedoyin, is culpable of Killing Timothy Adegoke, a postgraduate student of Obafemi Awolowo University, the Osun State Chief Judge, Justice Oyebola Ojo, has declared

Justice Ojo made the declaration on Tuesday while delivering judgment on the matter.

Recall that Adegoke was killed in Adedoyin’s hotel in 2021.

Adedoyin and six of his hotel workers namely: Magdalene Chiefuna, Adeniyi Aderogba, Oluwole Lawrence, Oyetunde Kazeem, Adebayo Kunle and Adedeji Adesola, are standing trial over the death of Adegoke.

The judge had in April received the final written and counter addresses from parties and on May 24 announced May 30 for the delivery of judgement in the cas.

Counsel to the defendants, including Yusuf Ali, Rowland Otaru, and Murtala Abdulrasheed, in their separate applications, had asked the court to void the appearances, applications and legal activities of the prosecuting counsel, Femi Falana, for allegedly lacking locus standi to prosecute the matter.
