JUST-IN: Benue Residents Protest High Cost Of Tuition Fee In FUHSO

laments the deliberate refusal of the management to employ indigenes of the community in an institution located in their ancestral home.

Locals in Otukpo, Benue, protested in the streets on Monday morning against the Federal University Health Sciences Otukpo’s exorbitant tuition costs and the institution’s refusal to hire or grant posts to native-born people.

Protesters bemoaned the high cost of tuition at the school and the management’s purposeful unwillingness to hire local indigenous people in an institution situated in their ancestral land. They organized a walk around the Otukpo settlement and the university’s temporary location.

People yelled songs and held placards, protesting the university’s admission of their wards and children on an equal footing.
