President Bola Tinubu has addressed the ongoing efforts of his administration to navigate Nigeria through its current challenges, likening the country’s path to a winding road.

Speaking at a breaking-fast event with members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council and the Independent Campaign Council at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Tinubu underscored the importance of cautious navigation to avoid veering off course. He reassured Nigerians of ongoing works to guide the economy towards sustainable growth and prosperity for all.

“The economy is exhibiting signs of improvement. Despite challenges like inflation, we are committed to reining it in. We have also made notable strides in stabilizing the exchange rate and managing our borrowing. Nigeria is regaining its sovereignty and garnering international respect,” Tinubu remarked.

Acknowledging the pivotal role of the campaign team in his election, Tinubu expressed gratitude, stating, “Your dedication and efforts have brought us this far. Though the road ahead may pose challenges, we will attain our objectives with perseverance. Nigeria will flourish, and we will all partake in its prosperity.”

He urged Nigerians to uphold faith in the country and support his administration, emphasizing the significance of perseverance and industriousness in achieving progress. Tinubu stressed the necessity for self-reliance, stating, “We must tackle our challenges head-on and strive for a brighter future for our progeny.”

Present at the event were Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Senator Simon Lalong, the director-general of the defunct PCC.
