Two killed as Vickings and Eiye confraternity members fight over girlfriends in Asaba

It was gathered that the victims (names withheld) were members of the dreaded Vickings confraternity, who allegedly snatched three girls from a rival cult group, Eiye confraternity, a situation that reportedly triggered bad blood among the two cult groups

It was further gathered that the two rival cult groups had in the recent times been terriorizing the state with alleged killings of innocent persons including some of their members who were found wanting and violated
their rules and regulations

But, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Andrew Aniamaka, who confirmed the incident,which led to the killing of the two rival cult victims, disclosed that though no arrest have been made, adding that investigation was ongoing with a view to arresting the fleeing members of both cult groups.

DSP Andrew Aniamaka, who spoke to newsmen in Asaba, said, “the police are investigating the incident, no arrest have been made, but the police will ensure the cultists are fished out. Indications are that the Victims were brought down by a rival cult group members over girlfriends around Umunaji quarters in Asaba around 8pm and the two victims died on the spot.”

Speaking further, DSP Aniamaka, said the police will do everything possible to fish out all the criminals and cultists who have been terriorizing the area in the recent times, adding that over twenty suspected cultists were in the last few months arrested and will be charged to court on completion of investigation

Asaba and its environs, have flash points of different cult groups, most dreaded, had been Vickings and Eiye confraternities until recently the police swooped on them and arrested many of them who at present are Serving jail terms.
