Brazilian defender, Dani Alves is now most successful footballer in history after winning his 42nd trophy with French giants, Paris Saint-Germain.  The attacking right-back wrote his name in football’s history books on Sunday as Paris Saint-Germain retained their Ligue 1 title after thrashing Monaco 3 – 1.

At 36, Alves now has 42 trophies following hugely successful spells at European giants Barcelona, Juventus and now PSG.

Dani Alves becomes the most successful footballer in history after winning his 42nd trophy with Paris Saint-Germain?

He has now overtaken Egyptian icon Hossam Hassan in the title charts, after winning 41 trophies thanks to dominating his country’s league with Ahly SC and Zamalek.
