The suspected mastermind of the killing of two PDP chieftains in Oweikorogha community, southern-Ijaw LGA of Bayelsa State, Hon. ThankGod Deizigha, has been reportedly arrested by the men of the Nigeria Police Force, Kardou Divisional Headquarter, Abuja at his hideout on Wednesday.
Recall, two PDP chieftains were gunned down by unidentified gunmen in Military attire allegedly led ThankGod Deizigha, during the February 23rd general elections.
An incident which threw the community into pandemonium, leaving houses burnt and several villagers fleeing from the area, as at the time.
Mr. Deizigha was also amongst the persons invited by the Bayelsa State Judicial Commission of Inquiry into the Violence, Mayhem and Breach of Peace before, during and after the General Elections in the state, in connection with the death of the ex aide of the Governor of Bayelsa State, Hon Taribi Seidougha and the Government House Photographer Mr Reginald Dei that was murdered during the Presidential and National Assembly Election on the 23rd of February 2019 at their resident Oweikorogha ijn Southern-Ijaw Local Government.
Mr. Deizigha was said to have fled to Abuja after the incident and has since been hiding, before he was apprehended yesterday.
However, the APC chieftain has been transferred to the Bayelsa state Police Command to be arraigned by the Commission soonest.
Others on the list, are said to be at large.
