Officers of the Anambra police state command have arrested a 75-year old woman for allegedly stealing babies in various locations in the State.
The suspect, identified as Caroline Mbonu, was apprehended together with a 50-years woman, Ifeyinwa Ezename.
Haruna Mohammed, Anambra police spokesperson, who announced this in a statement, said the stolen children have been recovered and reunited with their parents.
His words, “On the 29/5/2019 at about 06:30 am, following intelligence report, Police detectives attached to the Command Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) arrested one Ifeyinwa Ezename ‘f’ aged 50 years and Caroline Mbonu ‘f’ aged 75 years respectively.
He said the case was under investigation, adding that the suspects would be charged to court.
