Mrs. Grace Ucha, the mother of lawmaker representing Tiev State Constituency in Benue State, Mr Terkaa Ucha, was on Tuesday abducted by unknown gunmen at Mbayongo, in Vandeikya Local Government.
The lawmaker said: He said: “They abducted my mother at gunpoint. They forced her into her Toyota Corolla car and drove away before abandoning the car at Adikpo town in Kwande Local Government.”
Ucha appealed to the kidnappers to release his mother “because she is ill.”
Confirming the incident, Police Spokesperson, Kate Anene, said: police have recovered the abandoned vehicle and taken it to Vandeikya Police Division for investigations.
