A middle-aged man was on Wednesday night shot dead at the Polytechnic community of Ogwashi-Uku in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State.
The deceased, identified as John Chukwudi, was shot dead by gunmen, at a relaxation spot.
It was gathered that the deceased was a senior administrative staff of Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku.
An eyewitness disclosed that the deceased was shot six times at close range by the assailants who monitored him until he breathed his last in the pool of his blood.
Confirming the incident, Adeyinka Adeleke, Commissioner of Police, said that information about the incident was still scanty.
He, however, assured that the command had launched an investigation ion the case.
