Two suspected thugs have arrested by Ondo State Police Command for allegedly attacking the monarch of Igbokoda, Oba Afolabi Odidiomo in Ilaje Government Area of Ondo State.
Thugs stormed the community with machetes on Thursday as the monarch narrowly escaped death.
The traditional ruler sustained several machete cuts on his head and was left in a pool of blood by his assailants.
Spokesperson of the state police command, Femi Joseph who confirmed the arrest of the suspects to TVC news in Akure, also declared the leader of the thugs, one Tale Iwatan wanted by the police.
The police image maker also disclosed that a forty year old man has been arrested in Okitipupa local government for killing a seventy year old man.
