One-eyed man and suspected leader of the dreaded Eiye confraternity in Ikenne identified Sunday Paul has been arrested by the Ogun police for serving as accomplice in the killing of 15 people in Ikenne and its environs.
After deep surveillance and technical investigation into his activities, the suspect popularly known as Blade who has been on the wanted list of the Ogun State Police Command was later arrested on September 21.
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the suspect was once a convict and has been charged to court on three different occasions over alleged murder related case before his re-arrest.
In a press statement released to newsmen, Ogun state police spokesman, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi stated that the news of Blade’s arrest has gone viral and it has caused wild jubilation in Ikenne.
“After series of interrogation, the suspect conceded that he is the leader of Eiye cult group in Ikenne and its environs and also revealed that he was to have been responsible for the killing of one Kabiru who he claimed to be a member of a rival cult group.
