Unknown gunmen have reportedly kidnapped two officials of the Rivers State Police Command at Ngor, Headquarters of Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The abduction of police officers has been confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Nnamdi Omoni but promised to give the details and how they were abducted later.
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that Prince Uche Secondus, the national chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Tele Ikuru, the immediate past Deputy Governor and the Speaker of the Assembly, Hon. Ikuinyi O. Ibani are also members/dwellers of Andoni Local Government.
According to reports, three expatriates working for Raffoul Nigeria Limited who were involved in the construction of the Unity Road in the area linking Opobo-Nkoro, Andoni, Khana Local Government Areas were abducted in the Andoni axis of the road.
The abducted expatriates spent weeks in the kidnappers den inspite of Governor Wike’s 72 hours ultimatum issued to chiefs and Andoni to ensure the release of the expatriates or lose state government recognition.
