The candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Duoye Diri has been declared as the Governor-elect of Bayelsa State by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
This declaration was made by the electoral body after top officials of INEC underwent a closed-door meeting.
Recall that Chief David Lyon of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was sacked by the apex court because his running mate presented a forged certificate to INEC.
Diri will be presented with the Certificate-of-Return in the next 20 minutes.
