Hours after the Ogun State Government banned high-density social gatherings to both private and public schools, due to the global spread of Coronavirus, the Federal Ministry of Education has ordered the immediate closure of tertiatry institutions, seconday and primary schools nationwide.
According to the ministry, the move is to stop the spread of Coronavirus in the country.
Recall that four new cases of coronavirus was confirmed in Lagos State today and with the development, Nigeria now has twelve confirmed cases of the disease.
The Health Commissioner confirmed the new case at a news briefing on Thursday.The federal government had on Wednesday announced five new cases of coronavirus disease in the country, in addition to the existing three cases.
The Lagos state government has also banned all religious congregational service involving over 50 worshippers, as well as shut down public and private schools in the state.
