JUST IN: Kaduna records two new COVID-19 deaths

Two fresh deaths from Coronavirus have been recorded by Kaduna state, bringing the total fatalities from COVID-19 in the state to three.

The latest deceased has been identified by Governor Nasir El-Rufai as a senior citizen from Makarfi while the other is a lady from Zaria.

While releasing the updates about Coronavirus in the state via his official Twitter handle, Governor El-Rufai also disclosed that two more persons have been tested positive.

The new infections bring the active COVID-19 cases in the state to 87.

The two new cases, he said, are a male from Igabi and a female from Chikun local government areas.

Kaduna State has 87 active Covid-19 cases and three fatalities.

Kaduna recorded its first fatality on May 2.

In a related story, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that following the outbreak of Coronavirus in Kaduna state and its continuous alarming spread, Governor Nasir El-Rufai has raised an alarm over inter-state travel.

El-Rufai revealed that Coronavirus has been recorded in seven local government areas of Giwa, Igabi, Kaduna North, Kaduna South, Makarfi, Soba and Zari.
