The crisis which erupted in Akpakwu, Iratu and Ubili villages resulting into incessant violence and intimidation of persons perceived to be against illegal sale of community land by unauthorised persons has been condemned by the three organs of leadership in Nteje.

The resolution of Igwe-in-council, Ojiana Nteje and Nteje Development Union was contained in a statement signed by the traditional ruler of Nteje,
Igwe Rowland Odegbo.

Illegal encroachment on school property and government lands was also condemned in the resolution.

The Igwe-in-council, Nteje Development Union and the Ojiana Nteje who are
the custodians of all lands in Nteje have suspended all sales of land
in Nteje for a period of two years, 2020 to 2022 inorder to avert further violence which may result to loss of lives as experienced in the past.
