Mother beats her 7-year-old child to death in Delta

A Nigerian mother has allegedly beaten to death her 7-year-old boy in Agbarha community, Warri South council area of Delta State.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the boy died on Monday night after being flogged by his mother till he collapsed.

An eyewitness said;

“The mother punished the boy by asking him to ‘ride a bike’ (sit in the air) but the boy was too hungry to do it. She became very angry and flogged  him until he collapsed and died.”

Reacting to the development, the Delta State Police command confirmed the incident.

The police command also confirmed the arrest of the woman over the sad incident.

In a related story, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that a father identified as Benson Ekpenisi has raised alarm and cried out for help after his son, a primary school teacher allegedly beat him and his wife up over land in Delta state.

The 78-year-old father who hails from Owan-Nta Aliosimi in Ika North East Local Government Area disclosed that he and his wife have suffered so much in the hands of their fifth son, Patrick Ekpenisi, who teaches at Okundaye Primary School.
