Following the refusal of the Niger Delta minister to reveal federal lawmakers who recieve contracts from the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) or retract his statement within the stipulated hours he was given by the House of Representatives, the speaker, Gbajabiamila has initiated moves to sue Senator Godswill Akpabio for perjury.

This was disclosed by the Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila at the plenary on Thursday.

Gbajabiamila disclosed that he has instructed the Clerk to engage lawyers to file the suit after the Minister failed to respond to the House request to publish the list of members who got contracts from the Niger Delta Development Commission(NCDC).

Gbajabiamila vowed he will not preside over the House and allow anybody tarnish its image for whatever reason.
