Nigeria records 322 new cases of COVID-19, death toll hits 1002

As Nigeria continues its fight against Coronavirus, 322 new cases of the deadly virus were recorded on Sunday night.

This was disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) via its official Twitter handle.

The centre, NCDC revealed that 1002 people have died of the deadly virus.

It was also revealed that Nigeria has 52,227 confirmed cases with 38,945 persons discharged.

Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases on Sunday night with 130, followed by Bauchi State with 36 cases and the Federal Capital Territory with 25 cases.

In a related story, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that the Presidential Taskforce PTF on Covid-19 has blamed Nigerians for the continued non-compliance with Covid-19 safety protocols, saying it would have flattened the curve by now, but for the lackadaisical attitude of Nigerians towards containing the pandemic.
