Local Government Area Chairmen in Sankaraland of Benue State and some traditional rulers have abandoned their domain and relocated to Makurdi for fears of their lives.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that many traditional rulers involved in the surrendering of the notorious militia leader, Terwase Akwaza (Gana) have deserted their palaces to unknown places.

The alarm was raised by a member of the House of Representatives, Dr Richard Gbande that his life and those of other leaders who negotiated the surrender of Gana was in danger.

Recall that Gana was killed last week by soldiers in a controversial manner after allegedly accepting amnesty offered by the Samuel Orthom administration.
