Nigeria records 221 new cases of COVID-19, total now 56,956

Nigeria records 304 new COVID-19 cases, total now 44,433

As the battle against Coronavirus continues, Nigeria has recorded 221 new cases on Friday night with a total of 56,956 confirmed COVID-19 cases.

This was disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) via its official Twitter handle.

The NCDC revealed that 48,305 patients have now been discharged, with 1,094 patients losing their lives to Coronavirus.

The NCDC further revealed that Lagos State had the highest number of infections on Friday night with 59 cases, with Abia State following with 46 cases. The Federal Capital Territory was next, recording 22 cases
