Popular football star and former Manchester City youth player, Jeremy Wisten has died tragically at the aged of 17.
The Premier League club took to Twitter on Sunday evening to share the tragic news.
They took to the popular micro blogging platform and wrote:
“The Manchester City family are saddened to learn of the passing of former academy player Jeremy Wisten.
“We send our deepest condolences to his friends and family.
“Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.”
The cause of death is unknown at this stage and Wisten’s family are yet to release a statement.
However, A GoFundMe account has been set up to raise funds to ‘give him the best send off he deserves’.
